The ideologies that birthed these terms have historically been viewed as oppositional but the pious behaviours prescribed by the movements are curiously similar. Although the ideas underlying the motivations and the modes of manifestation associated with the religious steward and the green spiritualist may be different, their objective appears to be the same. Now that so many shades of green are possible when it comes to systems of belief and ways of consuming, recognizing verdant virtue has become more complex.
